Digital Strategy

Social Media

In 2016, every campaign be it electoral or regulatory and land use requires the latest up to date digital campaign strategy and social media. The groups that oppose your development application will be using it and using it effectively. If you do not use it, you are starting with a handicap. Social media has become the predominant method of getting your message out to the public and for that public to provide feedback.

A well done Facebook page with the targeted Facebook advertising will reach your desired audience and bring hundreds and thousands of people to your Facebook page where they can “like” the page, leave a comment or use the link to send a decision maker an email supporting you.

Social media is the most cost effective way to keep the public informed about your application, the updates, informs supporters of meetings, refutes rumors and educates the public about the application.

One of the benefits of social and digital media and a key element to any campaign is the data base that you build and stores all your information.  Social media makes it easier to gather this information and enter into your data base. The data base includes anyone who has attended an event, anyone who has signed a petition and anyone who has identified themselves as a supporter of your effort. We will know in real time, how many supporters we have, are there specific areas of town where we have more support than others and provide us the ability to micro target specific demographics who are likely to support the application and who will oppose. It is also an effective tool to measure what aspects of the campaign and which are not. Is your Facebook page and you’re your Twitter being used effectively or do they need to be modified to be more effective tool? This will be the performance metric that will tell you where your campaign currently stands.

All of the data stored in this data base and will be used when it is time to publicly demonstrate the support for the project, phone calls, letters, emails, attendance at public hearings and identified speakers on your behalf will all come from the data base that has been developed through the campaign. It is the most effective way to mobilize your supporters to take action when it is needed.
